Achieving Summa cum Laude and All-State titles in high school, he continued to shine at the collegiate level, balancing academic prowess with athletic success. Bolon's resilience in the face of challenges, including vision loss and foot injuries, only fueled his determination. At West Liberty University, he not only excelled athletically, earning All-American honors, but also published research. His remarkable achievements culminated in accolades such as NCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year and being named a finalist for the prestigious Lou Henson Award while at the College of Charleston.
